The next 4 miles were payback time: a screaming descent full of switchbacks and hairpin curves - thank god for our rear drum brake! The downhill contined but eased in gradient all the way into Breckenridge, where we plan to explore the many shops and restaurants that this upscale ski town has to offer.

ReplyDeleteMade it to Silverthorne, resting up in a nice motel for myself, a little treat after getting over the Hoosier. I didn't think it was as bad as I was expecting. Thanks for the last couple of days, it was great meeting up with you again. It would have taken me a lot longer to get to Fairplay yesterday if it wasn't for you pacing me.
Hopefully we will see each other again at some stage but if not enjoy the rest of your trip. Take care.
