A mostly downhill day took us through more beautiful mt. scenery under blue skies as we entered the "north park" of Colorado. We did wait out a brief T-storm in a gracious woman's garage, whose husband has participated in the Lake Placid Ironman!
Bike paths between Breckenridge and Silverthorne were a welcome relief from the heavy traffic in this heavily touristed area, although a few more signs in Frisco would make it much easier to follow.
When we rolled our bike into the storage room at the Hotel Eastin, we immediately recognized Derek's bike, so after subjecting him to one of Stephanie's painfully slow shopping sprees (goodies for tomorrow's 60 miles w/o services) we've picked up some "fat tire", and are sitting in the hotel lobby reminiscing about our good times so far.
