Day 9 - Christianburg, Va - 395 miles

It is so great to read all your comments at the end of a long day, Thank You for all the support. Today Mike was able to replace the temporary spoke with a real one after using a socket from Jiffy Lube. "Unfortuately" we couldn't find a campground so we got to stay at a Econolodge. Yippy! For evey downhill we had two uphills. Crossed the Appalachian Trail twice today and encountered a real grumpy hiker.

  2. Good job at the Jiffy Lube! Did they change the oil as well and then come into the office, while you were waiting drinking bad coffee, and exclaim that your biko-sprocket-medial-transmission filter was all clogged and needed replacement immediately? Also a grumpy AT hiker? If he/she is a thru hiker then wait until he/she hits Rocksylvania. Or better yet enters the real world again. Wish I was out there biking across the country as well. Enjoying your blog.
