We were delayed this morning by fog so we had to pull over and wait for it to lift. Another day of rolling hills. We fueled up at a Radford diner with eggs, bacon, chicken fried steak, homefries and sausage gravy on biscuits. In Draper we were tipped off by the locals to refill our water bottles at an ice cold spring located nearby. The countryside is a mix of run down farms and million dollar homes - not much in between. Have yet to see an operating dairy farm in all of Va. Campgrounds seem hard to find ( too bad) so we're at a Super 8 tonight. Dinner consistd of Van Camps Beenee Weenee pork and beans - "cold". Yummy!
You guys are awesome! Be safe and keep us posted. xoxo Renee & Joe

I did a Century-ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway about 15 years ago - can't imagine doing it with the weight of all your camping gear. All the best from the Rotary Club of Lake Placid!
ReplyDeleteHey guys, I heard about you from Steph's sister Jackie and she was kind enough to pass on your link. I think what you guys are doing is so cool and I'm excited to follow you along on your journey. Stay safe!
