It's Official

I will be giving my notice to Champlain National Bank this week and Mike has decided that he's stacked his last bale of hay.

The countdown begins for our "TransAm" bike trip across the country. Our expected departure is soon after our son Andrew's graduation from StonyBrook on May 21st.

So why are we taking this 4,000 mile trip cross country? Well...It's the right time in our life. The kids are grown, finances are good and Melanie, Ken and Zachary have agreed to take care of the house for the summer.

We've also decided to ride for a "cause" - Stephanie for Public Television and Michael for North Country Public Radio. More on this later - we would love your support!

Harry wanted to know if you have considered the impact that this trip will have on the hunting season?

  7. When those prevailing westerlies start blowing discarded soda cans past you, remember, there's alot to be said for "persistence".
